Fundamental Wrong Agency

I had the pleasure recently of attending the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Expert Workshop on the Prohibition of Incitement to Hatred in Vienna. With very low expectations coming in I had anticipated the event to be a free-for-all lobby on behalf of hate speech activists’ promotion of the banning of Islamaphobia and speech against homosexual behavior. To my honest surprise I found the event fairly even-handed. I write this blog today not because of anything extraordinary being promoted by the UN at the event but instead because of a shocking display of fundamentalism coming from the European Union.
The Fundamental Rights Agency is a charter body of the European Union tasked with monitoring and analyzing human rights issues within the purview of existing EU legislation. Rather than doing this job however, it seemed much more to be playing the part of a lobbyist for the homosexual agenda (in fact even more so than any actual NGO’s representing homosexual agenda organizations). The FRA went so far as to distribute a leaflet calling for among other things: (a) including same-sex partners within the definition of “family members” irrespective of national laws; (b) recognizing “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” as a grounds for persecution; (c) demanding that State’s take action to allow document alteration after “gender reassignment”; and (d) addressing difficulties in receiving free of charge legal assistance after “gender reassignment” surgery with regard to legal recognition.
Indeed there is much to be worried about for those of us in Europe if this is the body tasked with safeguarding all of our rights! H
