Global Abortion Law Group Exploits Dominican Teenagers Death

Posted on | September 6, 2012 by Lisa Correnti |

The Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) has one clear mission – unrestricted access to abortion worldwide. For years CRR has been challenging countries with restricted abortion laws by representing women that report to be harmed by pro-life policy.

CRR is reporting that anti-abortion laws killed a 16 year old Dominican teenager due to chemotherapy being delayed for 20 days since the treatment would have killed her unborn child.

CRR used the opportunity to spread its usual scare tactics and falsehoods around what they call “the many problems that are a consequence of  bestowing legal rights on a fetus,” claiming personhood amendments in the U.S. would threaten a woman’s right-to-life should these initiatives pass.

While the death of this young girl was tragic so is CRR using her death to promote their own narrow agenda.
