Purpose of Gates Summit is to Get Money

An abortion advocacy group could not have made it clearer: The purpose of the upcoming Melinda Gates’ sponsored summit on family planning is “to pour money into family planning in the developing world.”

UNFPA’s executive director anticipates the outcome will be “transformational” and turn family planning into a global movement.

With European countries facing economic meltdowns, and President Obama being newly chastised for claiming “the private sector is fine,” the summit may garner commitments but it’s likely the promise-makers can’t come up with the $4 billion a year that family planning advocates hope to fill their bank accounts.

You can read about their hopes at “Reversing family planning neglect“.
